Levi was raised in New Glarus, Wisconsin, a small town roughly 30 minutes south of Madison. He received his B.A. from St. Olaf College in Economics and Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations. During his time at St. Olaf, he sang in the Cantorei choir, played intramural sports, and conducted research on immigrant labor on Wisconsin dairy farms.

Levi is passionate about working to improve his Spanish language skills. He lived in Jose Maria Morelos, Mexico for a year when he was in grade school. During his time in Mexico, he attended public school and became fluent in Spanish. Since his return to the United States, he has lost some of that fluency, but has worked to regain it through extended travel to Puerto Rico and Spain during college, his coursework at St. Olaf, and by making friends working in kitchens around Madison, WI.

In his free time, Levi loves to go camping, fishing, and hiking. He also loves to play soccer and to travel, and when at home he spends hours improving his homemade pizza recipes.
