Andrea Thompson is an attorney at Prokosch Law LLC, where she represents clients in a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, removal defense in immigration court, and immigration litigation in the U.S. federal courts. She is particularly drawn to the complexity or immigration law and the opportunity to advocate for individuals and families navigating an overwhelming and complicated legal system.

Andrea first joined Prokosch Law as an undergraduate legal intern in January 2021. Since then, she has grown with the firm through roles as a legal assistant, paralegal, law clerk, and senior law clerk before becoming an associate attorney in October 2026. Her years with the firm have given her experience working with clients at nearly every stage of the immigration process from before their arrival all the way to naturalization.

Andrea earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Immigration Law from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in May 2026. Before law school, Andrea graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in May 2023 with a B.A. in Political Science, African/African American Studies, and Social Justice.

Andrea grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and currently resides in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis. Outside of work, she loves to read fiction, spend time outdoors, and watch Minnesota sports.
